The Air Force has given British Aerospace a pair of contracts ($80 million total) to upgrade its EC-130H Compass Call electronic jamming and eavesdropping aircraft. The first will provide a simulator for the new system, and the second contract will upgrade 14 EC-130Hs to Block 35 standards. This upgrade improves the tactical radio acquisition countermeasures system receiver, the jamming capability, and signal processing.--Stephen V Cole
