Paraguayan President Macchi, somewhat upset at yet another coup attempt by the 1st Cavalry Corps (which has launched almost all of the nation's many coups and coup attempts) has ordered the unit disarmed and scattered. Its headquarters will move from the capital to Curugatay. The 3rd Cavalry Regiment will move north to the Chaco Desert and the 2nd Cavalry Regiment will move to the central region of Misiones.--Stephen V Cole
