 The government reported that, in June, police arrested al Qaeda suspect Omar al-Faruq, whose wife is Indonesian. Al-Faruq, who was found using fake identification.  was reportedly turned over to the US and flown out of the country.

In Papua, three bombs were found under a bridge near the huge Freeport mines.  The army has some 800 troops guarding the Freeport operations. Separatist rebels deny that they are responsible for recent attacks, and that it's a frame up by the army.
